On Thursday (15th), the Tokyo Electric Power Company of Japan provided further clarification on the cause of the nuclear waste water leakage at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, stating that it was due to human error on Wednesday (7th). Last Wednesday, about 5.5 tons of radioactive contaminated water leaked from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant's water purification system. According to Tokyo Electric Power Co. EVA Air flight from Japan carrying pregnant woman arrives at hospital for delivery

On Thursday (15th), a pregnant woman unexpectedly gave birth on a plane flying from Tokyo, Japan to Taipei, Taiwan operated by Taiwan's EVA Air. Taiwan's Civil Aeronautics Administration confirmed the incident and stated that the woman and the baby have been taken to a hospital. The flight's booking records did not show any pregnant passengers who needed to present a fit-to-fly certificate. If the pregnant woman involved was carrying a single fetus and was less than 28 weeks pregnant, she would not have been required to present a fit-to-fly certificate before boarding the flight. The specific reasons for this are still under investigation.

On Thursday, EVA Air reported that a BR189 flight from Haneda Airport to Matsuyama Airport, operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, had a pregnant passenger who went into labor during the flight. With the help of a doctor and all flight attendants, the woman successfully gave birth to a baby boy on board. EVA Air immediately contacted Matsuyama Airport for priority landing and arranged for an ambulance to be on standby. After landing at Matsuyama Airport at 1:11 PM that day, the airline sent a representative to accompany the mother and child to the hospital, where they were both safe and sound.

According to the pregnant passenger guidelines on the official website of EVA Air, the company will not allow passengers who are pregnant with a single child beyond 36 weeks (within 4 weeks of the expected due date) or passengers who are pregnant with multiples beyond 32 weeks, as well as postpartum mothers within 7 days, to board the plane. Passengers who are pregnant with a single child between 28 weeks and 35 weeks and 6 days (within 12 to 4 weeks of the expected due date) or passengers who are pregnant with multiples between 28 weeks and 31 weeks and 6 days (within 12 to 8 weeks of the expected due date) must have their attending doctor fill out EVA Air's fitness certificate within 10 days before the flight and complete the reservation 48 hours before takeoff. Only with the approval of the company's doctor can they board the plane.

Korea's Han Accuses Kim Jong Un of Exploiting Grandfather's Image to Hasten Idol Project

According to officials from South Korea's Ministry of Unification on Thursday (15th), North Korea has been actively promoting the idolization of current leader Kim Jong-un by utilizing the image of the late leader Kim Il-sung as "supreme commander during wartime", "father of the socialist family", and "ideological leader" in order to strengthen control over the system and unite internal forces. During the last year's Labor Party Conference, Kim Jong Un mentioned the "pacification of the entire territory of South Korea," which evokes memories of the "territorial integrity" mentioned in North Korea's government manifesto by Kim Il Sung on September 10, 1948. Officials from the Ministry of Unification analyzed that this move was intended to emphasize Kim Jong Un as the supreme commander who inherited Kim Il Sung's idea of "unification through armed communism." Furthermore, during the Central Research Discussion ...
