The Israeli army continues its airstrikes on Gaza.
The ongoing conflict in Israel has been successfully mediated by Qatar and France on Tuesday (16th), allowing for an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic extremist group Hamas. This agreement permits the provision of medication and other humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza in exchange for the transportation of medication to approximately 45 Israeli hostages being held in Gaza.
On Wednesday (17th), two Qatari military planes transported supplies from Doha to Egypt and then to Gaza through the Rafah crossing. This is the first agreement reached between the two sides since the 7-day temporary ceasefire implemented in November last year. However, the conflict has not subsided as the IDF and Hamas militants are still engaged in fighting in the northern and southern parts of Gaza.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry on Tuesday, in the past 24 hours, hospitals have received 158 bodies of Palestinian people, bringing the death toll to over 24,000 in the past 3 months of conflict.
